Actuary

• Conducts analysis, pricing and risk assessment to estimate financial outcomes.
• Applies knowledge of mathematics, probability, statistics, principles of finance and business to calculations in health with a focus on dental plans.
• Develops probability tables based on analysis of statistical data and other pertinent information.
• Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.
• Occasionally assists with modeling, identifies appropriate data sources, conducts analysis

Actuarial Analyst

• On a day-to-day basis, the Actuarial Intern will work closely with project team members to execute key analyses for ongoing projects.
• They will be given opportunity to produce high-quality analytical work while also showing professionalism and strong communication skills when interacting with colleagues, up to and including senior Principals of the firm.
• Much of the Intern’s work will be done in Excel, but supplemental programming, statistical, and database skills are highly valued and will open additional opportunities for impactful client assignments and advancement.

Actuarial Intern – Part-time

• Ownership of all aspects of the technical functionality of MG-ALFA models
• Develop and maintain model inputs, model interface, model reports, and database
• Participate and provide thought leadership in model governance, assumption maintenance, and model change management, including User Acceptance Testing
• Lead projects to implement new products, riders, and model functionality
• Provide a validated and locked-down production model to end users on a quarterly basis
• Partner with the IT department to identify and implement areas for automation and efficiency
• Lead development of functionality related to ad-hoc projects and one-off requests, working closely with business partners to ensure appropriate usage of models for new contexts

Actuary – Model Development

Summer 2026 Actuarial Intern, Atlantic Region P&C

• The Consulting Actuary is responsible for leading client engagements as actuary
• coordinating and completing client projects
• presenting reports and communicating and responding to client needs
• providing strategic advice to clients, as appropriate.
• Perform all aspects of defined benefit pension actuarial client service
• Present and communicate with clients.
• Review monthly utilization to ensure that standards are met or exceeded.
• Participate in training programs to develop a better understanding of retirement and actuarial concepts.
