Working Student – Accounts Payable

• Handling and processing payments across various platforms, including electronic payment systems, online banking, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
• Analyzing all details of invoices meticulously to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial policies, utilizing strong logical reasoning to validate and process payments correctly.
• Analyzing financial data to identify and resolve discrepancies swiftly, making quick and informed decisions to maintain efficient payment processing.
• Understanding and navigating through various accounts payable systems, and thinking outside the box for problem solving.
• Maintaining exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial transactions, keeping thorough records, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Processing accounting/banking information including posting, comparing, computing, and reconciling a variety of debit and credit entries including those of a complex and difficult nature in an accurate and timely manner.
• Accurately analyzing and verifying accounting/banking information and error lists for accuracy and completeness and initiating appropriate adjusting entries.
• Reviewing accounting/banking reports for errors, completeness, reasonableness, adequacy, and content.
• Accurately analyzing ledgers, studying the interrelationships of various ledger accounts, and making recommendations for changes in practices and procedures.
• Training and providing guidance to lower level accounting clerks, who then perform competently. Collecting, analyzing, and entering information for reports in an accurate and timely manner.

Accounts Payable Clerk – Temporary, 3 Months

• You will take on the professional and disciplinary group leadership of a team of up to ten accounts payable specialists for the assigned Heraeus entities (1–20 legal entities), and ensure a legally compliant financial close from the Accounts Payable perspective within the Shared Services Finance Center Hanau (SSFC).
• By identifying and implementing measures, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of processes.
• You will actively participate in projects for process improvements, system migrations or the integration of additional entities, and may assume project leadership when required.
• As part of the internal control system within the Shared Services Finance Center, you will perform controls and independently coordinate with representatives of other corporate functions, internal customers and external suppliers.
• Operational tasks such as processing incoming invoices from receipt to payment, resolving discrepancies with Purchasing or suppliers, handling dunning processes, account maintenance (reconciliation accounts, clearing accounts, vendor accounts, GR/IR account) and periodic tasks as part of the month-end closing are also part of your responsibilities.
• In addition, you will ensure compliance with the service levels for Accounts Payable as documented in the Service Level Agreements.
• You will interact with external partners (in particular external auditors, suppliers, etc.) and support improvement measures for your units in Germany, Europe and the United States of America.

Group Leader – Accounts Payable

• Responsibility for patch and release planning of a hybrid SAP landscape (NetWeaver, Cloud, On‑Premise, Fiori/UI5)
• Taking responsibility for S/4HANA upgrades, kernel patches, database updates, migrations and repartitioning, Web GUI and UI5 patches, as well as Add‑Ons
• Planning rebuilds of test systems, and coordinating and communicating with external service providers
• Responsibility for SAP GUI patching and administration
• Acting as interface between SAP teams and GPOs (Global Process Owners / business units)
• Portfolio coordinator for SAP contracts (Cloud / On‑Premise)
• Responsible for SAP archiving management
