Research Intern, Generative and Protective AI – Content Creation

• Design and own evaluation frameworks for production LLM features, including LLM-as-a-judge evaluations, regression suites, synthetic datasets, golden datasets, and human review workflows.
• Analyze production behavior to identify quality issues, hallucinations, latency bottlenecks, cost regressions, and emerging failure modes.
• Design and run experiments including prompt variations, workflow changes, retrieval improvements, and model comparisons; and quantify their impact on quality, operational metrics, and user outcomes.
• Define the metrics that matter and build dashboards that make AI performance visible across the organization.
• Partner with engineering to determine which optimizations should be productionized and how to measure ongoing success.

Senior Applied AI Scientist

• Conduct fundamental and innovative development in low-cost yet powerful vision-language models (VLM), unified models, automatic model compression, optimization and deployment on cloud and edge.
• Design or implement state-of-the-art techs on model compression, inference speedup, deployment on hardwares, tool automation.
• PoC for various vision+text, generation relevant tasks (VQA, captioning, understanding, etc) and hardwares.
• Contribute to library and tool development to support business; or Publish influential research in top-tier conferences and journals.

• Develop robust data pipelines for curating, training, and fine-tuning models on diverse engineering data, including 2D drawings, 3D geometries, and text-based specifications.
• Implement machine learning algorithms for tasks such as object detection, semantic segmentation, and advanced reasoning within the AEC domain.
• Explore and implement reinforcement learning frameworks to optimize and automate complex decision-making processes in the built environment.

• Build, deploy, and maintain production-grade AI and ML pipelines, backend services, and infrastructure that support Oura's AI Advisor and custom model initiatives
• Design and implement evaluation systems and tooling to measure grounding, reliability, and actionability of LLM and agentic systems in production
