About the role

  • You are responsible for the technical development and administration of the “LEAN Construction” topic for ZECH | Planung und Technik
  • You apply lean methods to organize construction operations to achieve resource savings and quality improvements
  • You ensure that improvements achieved through lean methods contribute to economic efficiency and that these benefits can be used in future projects
  • You conduct systematic analyses of construction processes to identify waste (e.g., overproduction, waiting times, transportation) and implement measures to eliminate this waste to increase efficiency
  • You develop and implement standardized tools and procedures for project execution to ensure consistency and quality across all projects
  • You apply scheduling and control methods to stabilize planning and construction processes in order to achieve productivity and quality improvements
  • You maintain a company-wide network to promote the exchange of best practices and to support the continuous improvement and further development of lean methods into a ZECH project execution methodology
  • You provide professional consulting and support to ensure company-wide implementation of ZECH methods
  • You record and document the results and progress of the lean implementation and carry out regular reporting
  • You conduct training for employees and project teams to promote and ensure understanding and application of the ZECH project execution method

Requirements

  • Completed degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable qualification
  • Further training in Lean Construction, Lean Management, or Process Optimization is an advantage
  • Solid knowledge and practical experience in applying lean methods and tools such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Kaizen, and Kanban
  • Experience in analyzing and optimizing construction processes to identify and eliminate waste
  • Knowledge of project management, including project planning, execution, and monitoring, is an advantage
  • Experience in developing and implementing standardized tools and procedures for project execution
  • Ability to conduct training and coaching for employees and project teams to promote understanding and application of lean methods
  • Confident user of standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office) and ideally experienced with specialized scheduling and CAD tools
  • Organizational skills, strong communication, efficient time management, attention to detail, flexibility and adaptability, problem-solving skills, and a strong customer orientation
