About the role
- Ensure that commercial, innovation, technology, and service activities are conducted in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Provide legal advice and support to the business on relevant matters
- Create and review legal documents to ensure compliance
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Proactively identify and communicate legal advice on applicable laws
- Develop and deliver training programs related to legal and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer (Solicitor, Barrister, or equivalent in the UK or another comparable jurisdiction)
- Significant experience working with market data vendors and negotiating on their contractual terms
- Strong expertise in commercial contracts and technology agreements, ideally within the financial services sector
- Knowledge of license rights, data distribution, and AI restrictions in vendor agreements
- Proven ability to manage stakeholders and deliver results in a fast‑paced environment
- Experience in regulatory frameworks relevant to market data and technology
- Track record of process optimisation and continuous improvement
- Genuine interest in AI, technology, and innovation
