About the role
- Manage and expand client base, developing strong relationships with existing customers.
- Drive sales growth as the main point of contact for clients.
- Work with the National Sales Manager to implement sales strategies in assigned territory.
- Sell and manage new Western Steel Buildings projects from initial contact to project completion.
- Demonstrate proficiency in all facets of steel buildings, including design understanding and technical aspects.
- Proactively identify and establish relationships with potential clients.
- Communicate professionally and follow up with all client inquiries in a timely manner.
- Draft purchase orders and collect deposits.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in outside sales development, business development, or sales within the construction industry, preferably with metal buildings or related products/services.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and industry standards is highly desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to drive sales growth and meet targets.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to navigate complex sales cycles.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in using CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant sales tools.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
