About the role

  • Manage and expand client base, developing strong relationships with existing customers.
  • Drive sales growth as the main point of contact for clients.
  • Work with the National Sales Manager to implement sales strategies in assigned territory.
  • Sell and manage new Western Steel Buildings projects from initial contact to project completion.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in all facets of steel buildings, including design understanding and technical aspects.
  • Proactively identify and establish relationships with potential clients.
  • Communicate professionally and follow up with all client inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Draft purchase orders and collect deposits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in outside sales development, business development, or sales within the construction industry, preferably with metal buildings or related products/services.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and industry standards is highly desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive sales growth and meet targets.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to navigate complex sales cycles.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant sales tools.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
