About the role

  • Manage all day-to-day HSE enquiries, provide technical support and help solve safety and health challenges
  • Guide and assist AM representatives in the daily safety work, including holding meetings
  • Prepare risk assessments and analyses of accidents and near-misses
  • Ensure an always updated contingency plan adapted to the site in Horsens
  • Teach the organization about safety and working environment
  • Identifying, developing, and implementing local HSE programs and policies
  • Maintain safety systems (e.g., chemical and waste management)
  • Reporting to the global HSE organization on relevant KPIs
  • Sparring with other factories in the West Group
  • Conduct and organize HSE audits, trainings, meetings
  • Develop action plans and conduct follow-up actions to address relevant site safety issues
  • Develop, maintain and ensure effective emergency response in place
  • Organize and conduct CERT audit and other relevant drills
  • Liaise with local authorities and manage license renewal
  • Manage all HSE incidents and non-conformance investigations
  • Track corrective and preventive actions to closure
  • Review internal HSE policies and practices to ensure they are current and appropriate
  • Implement HSE policies and procedures that ensure a safe and healthy working environment compliant with legislation and regulatory requirements
  • Lead the HSEMS and the efforts to control risk and ensure continual improvements beyond compliance
  • Facilitate the HSE aspects of any shifting of facilities/equipment
  • Collect, analyze and reporting of site HSE KPIs including improvement plans
  • Partner with all functional area management to create a safe work environment
  • Liaise with global site HSE leads to enhance the safety culture and systems at West
  • Support site incident reporting process to ensure effective investigation, reporting, corrective actions, and best practice sharing
  • Investigate, analyze, identify and recommend controls for causes and/or potential causes of accidents, exposures to hazardous materials and ergonomic hazards

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Health and Safety or equivalent required
  • Minimum 8 years Professional experience in compliance with local HSE legislation required
  • Industrial site production environment experience
  • Experience in Lean/Six Sigma an added advantage
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Must possess good organization, time-management, negotiating and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent computer skills (including MS Office experience using Word and Excel) required
  • Experience in managing local authorities and contractors
  • Certified Fire Safety Manager upon Hire required
