Support an approximate 9-month NPD project with the work vehicle solutions team; lead large scale/complex NPD project teams by planning, coordinating, and communicating between various departmental disciplines.
Clarify project scope and responsibilities to the team; develop and implement project plans and schedules.
Lead cross-functional teams, motivate team members and assign work; coordinate and collaborate on key deliverables across different organizational functions and cross-functional teams.
Define project baselines, track project progress, report status to upper management on program risks/opportunities, and determine and take corrective actions.
Utilize stage-gating product development process to manage project requirements, timelines and meet technical and financial project objectives.
Contribute to product development planning, strategic brainstorming, and development of innovative solutions leveraging end user insights, competitive analysis, and manufacturing/customer care data.
Provide support to product engineers and product managers to determine the optimum path to execute products that showcase innovative features and meet customer requirements.
May have direct supervisory roles or indirect reporting over other members; take direction from Sr. Project Managers or Directors.
Requirements
BSE or equivalent required
PMP Certification preferred
Minimum of 5 years experience in leading and managing consumer product projects or 10+ years of relevant project management experience
Experience working on projects in cross-functional team setting of engineering development & design, product validation, marketing, procurement, production scheduling, materials management, and other disciplines as needed.
Experience with mechanical manufacturing and design methods related to metal and plastic type components, finishes, packaging, and various manufacturing process such as stampings, molding, extrusions, and other fabrication methods.
Strong capability in all Windows based applications specifically PowerPoint, Excel and MS Project
Willingness to travel to domestic and international engineering centers, manufacturing sites, and suppliers.
