About the role
- Partner with product and design teams to identify opportunities and lead an engineering team in delivering outcomes
- Drive technical excellence in mapping business requirements to code using best practices in cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, and security
- Balance team capacity between strategic improvements and essential maintenance work
- Foster a culture of technical excellence through mentorship and coaching
- Create sustainable processes for cross-team collaboration and knowledge sharing
- Maintain and regularly update long-term capacity planning
Requirements
- Proven track record of software engineering and engineering management experience at scale
- Strong technical background in cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and distributed systems
- Experience with AWS services, infrastructure as code, and container orchestration platforms
- Track record of successful cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management
- Experience with capacity planning and resource allocation across multiple work streams
- Deep understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements
- Previous experience in fintech or financial services is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
