About the role
- Provide legal advice and counsel to a broad assortment of clients in Walmart’s US Merchandising Division, with a particular emphasis on complicated commercial transactions.
- Work collaboratively across Global Governance, while working alongside other attorneys and professionals supporting Walmart Merchandising.
- Deliver advice and counsel on a wide range of legal topics, including commercial contracts and disputes, antitrust and competition, foundational intellectual property, and merchandise compliance issues.
- Provide pragmatic legal guidance and workable solutions to the business.
- Draft and negotiate contracts that help the business, while mitigating corporate risk.
- Identify the need for legal/compliance support for business projects.
- Collaborate well with cross-functional stakeholders.
Requirements
- You have experience working in house in a corporate environment
- You have worked on legal matters pertaining to retail operations
- You have experience working on Intellectual Property, Antitrust, and Regulatory Compliance matters
- You have experience working on cross-functional teams
- You have strong communication skills to interact with senior leadership and stakeholders
- You have at least 5 years of experience at a business-oriented law firm, or in-house role.
