About the role

  • Leads and participates in medium- to large-scale, complex, cross-functional projects by reviewing project requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
  • Collaborates with business partners to identify opportunities and address high-priority initiatives.
  • Supports the discovery phase of medium to large projects by partnering with product management and project management teams.
  • Utilizes industry research to improve Walmart’s technology environment and defines software development guidelines, standards, and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science with 12+ years’ experience in software engineering OR Master of Science and 10+ years’ experience in software engineering.
  • Manage software development lifecycle and lead Engineering projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of developing back-end applications using Java technologies.
  • Experience with Big-Data Technologies like GCP, BQ, Kafka, Spark, C*, Elastic, Solr, Hadoop, Hive.
  • Exposure to implementing AI and Test Automation Frameworks and technologies.
  • Understanding of cloud technologies and designing solutions deployed to Azure & Google Cloud Platform.
  • 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of creating inclusive digital experiences and WCAG 2.2 AA standards.
