About the role
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat regarding orders, product information, shipping, and returns.
- Provide accurate guidance on seed varieties, planting instructions, and seasonal availability.
- Resolve customer issues efficiently while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
- Process orders, refunds, and replacements in accordance with company policies.
- Collaborate with fulfillment and inventory teams to ensure timely order delivery and accuracy.
- Record all customer interactions and feedback in CRM for continuous improvement.
- Educate customers about Burpee’s online resources, gardening tips, and loyalty programs.
- Support peak seasonal call volume during the spring and summer months.
Requirements
- Must have at least 1–3 years of customer service experience (retail, e-commerce, or call center preferred).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency; experience with CRM systems and order management tools.
- Genuine interest in gardening, horticulture, or home improvement is a plus
- Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure during busy seasons.
