About the role

  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat regarding orders, product information, shipping, and returns.
  • Provide accurate guidance on seed varieties, planting instructions, and seasonal availability.
  • Resolve customer issues efficiently while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
  • Process orders, refunds, and replacements in accordance with company policies.
  • Collaborate with fulfillment and inventory teams to ensure timely order delivery and accuracy.
  • Record all customer interactions and feedback in CRM for continuous improvement.
  • Educate customers about Burpee’s online resources, gardening tips, and loyalty programs.
  • Support peak seasonal call volume during the spring and summer months.

Requirements

  • Must have at least 1–3 years of customer service experience (retail, e-commerce, or call center preferred).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency; experience with CRM systems and order management tools.
  • Genuine interest in gardening, horticulture, or home improvement is a plus
  • Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure during busy seasons.
