About the role
- The IT Product Owner is responsible for guiding the development and delivery of technology products within an organization.
- This position serves as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that product features align with business objectives and customer needs.
- Defines and effectively communicates to stakeholders the product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
- Collaborates closely with internal and external stakeholders to gather and refine requirements.
- Creates detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and product specifications.
- Prioritizes and maintains the product backlog to ensure timely delivery of features.
- Works closely with development to ensure product features meet quality and functional standards.
- Conducts research on industry trends, competitor products, and customer feedback.
- Manages release schedules and ensuring smooth delivery of features and updates.
- Analyzes product performance and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement.
- Focuses on identifying and addressing local needs by gathering and prioritizing regional business requirements.
- Ensures effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders to guarantee successful delivery of business outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field required
- Master’s Degree (MBA or similar) preferred
- 5-7 years of experience in product management or related roles required
- Prior work experience in project management for product delivery required
- Product Management Certifications (CPM) for managing products preferred
- Business Analysis Certifications (CBAP, IIBA-AAC) for business analysis skills preferred
