About the role

  • Assist the partners in providing comprehensive legal counsel to healthcare providers and telehealth companies on various issues.
  • Address regulatory compliance, fraud and abuse, licensing, reimbursement, and transactional matters.
  • Draft, review, modify, and negotiate healthcare-related agreements, ensuring compliance and protecting the interests of our clients.
  • Provide legal advice and expertise on professional service, joint venture, business associate, employment, and other pertinent agreements.
  • Draft formation, corporate governance and transaction documents.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of corporate compliance and HIPAA programs, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements in day-to-day operations.
  • Actively participate in ensuring the ethical and responsible practices of our clients.
  • Conduct extensive legal research, analysis, and document preparation to provide strategic guidance to our clients.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive expertise in commercial and healthcare regulatory compliance matters.
  • Possess specialized knowledge in healthcare laws such as Fraud and Abuse, HIPAA, privacy requirements and regulations.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements and developments in AI as used and developed in the healthcare industry.
  • Apply risk management practices and methodologies in legal processes, mitigating potential legal risks for our clients.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of healthcare regulatory guidance and experience in a law firm and/or in an in-house setting.
  • Extensive experience in drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and advising on a variety of agreements, including licensing agreements, master service agreements, SaaS agreements, and consulting agreements,, vendor, content, marketing, and other agreements through a healthcare regulatory lens.
  • Proficiency in federal and state healthcare laws and regulations, with a deep interest in the continuous development of the health tech industry.
  • Excellent decision-making skills with a capacity to navigate challenging situations and make tough decisions with emotional intelligence and confidentiality.
  • Strong adaptability to handle shifting priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Demonstrated passion for healthcare and a commitment to the future of health and healthcare, aligning closely with JZ LAW's mission to build a healthier and more inclusive future.
