About the role
- Provide technical expertise on material impact to process performance and product quality; support manufacturing, investigations, and improvement projects
- Serve as global SME for raw and single-use materials, defining specifications, control strategies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
- Lead second sourcing evaluations and assess alternative materials for quality, compliance, and testing/release requirements
- Author and manage global change controls for material specifications; collaborate with sites to implement changes with minimal operational impact
- Partner with Procurement, Quality, and technical teams to align supplier/material selection with global strategy and governance
- Develop strategies and processes for introducing new materials, harmonizing global standards with local procedures; maintain tools and reporting for material management
- Prepare technical documentation, risk assessments, and regulatory responses; support audits/inspections and deliver global training on material-related topics
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences/Engineering/Chemistry or other relevant discipline
- 15+ years of Materials Science experience (e.g. QC, QA, MSAT)
- Tech Transfer with emphasis on raw materials and leaning into single-use materials
- Material Qualification, including establishing material specifications
- Significant Experience leading and working in cross-functional teams
- Project Management and IT tools
