About the role
- Directs and oversees overall operations and site management of the Distribution Centers (DCs)
- Negotiates and administers collective bargaining agreements
- Implements procedures to provide a safe, efficient, service-oriented, and profitable department
- Establish long-term operations objectives aligned with business goals
- Develop and execute strategic plans for the operations department
- Integrate shipping, receiving, transportation, purchasing, and sales activities
- Maintain profitable operations through inventory control and safety programs
- Guide compliance with government regulations and company policies
- Create performance improvement plans and oversee warehouse associates
Requirements
- 4-year degree preferred (or High School Diploma (or GED) and equivalent experience)
- 10 years operations experience, various job functions in distribution management
- Minimum of 5 years of management experience
- Knowledge of D.O.T. regulations
- Labor Relations
- Selecting/interviewing/recruiting
- Customer Service
- Budgeting and cost control
- Knowledge of OSHA, HAACP and other regulations
- PC skills
