About the role
- Directs specific components of the revenue cycle for assigned departments and functions.
- Accountable for the overall success and operations of professional fee coding, charge capture/entry, charge reconciliation, coding related claim edits and denials.
- Provides feedback and education to providers and coders.
- Responsible for achieving annual and periodic goals for significant statistical indicators of revenue cycle performance.
- Participates, establishes, and assists with implementation of best practice policies and procedures across all billing groups to improve performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least ten years of coding experience
- Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite. (Excel, Word, Power Point)
- Strong computer skills
- Strong knowledge of CMS rules and regulations
- CPC or CCS-P certification required
