About the role

  • Directs specific components of the revenue cycle for assigned departments and functions.
  • Accountable for the overall success and operations of professional fee coding, charge capture/entry, charge reconciliation, coding related claim edits and denials.
  • Provides feedback and education to providers and coders.
  • Responsible for achieving annual and periodic goals for significant statistical indicators of revenue cycle performance.
  • Participates, establishes, and assists with implementation of best practice policies and procedures across all billing groups to improve performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least ten years of coding experience
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite. (Excel, Word, Power Point)
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong knowledge of CMS rules and regulations
  • CPC or CCS-P certification required
