About the role

  • Provide technical and coordination support to UNESCO Dhaka Office in implementing key activities under the Education Cannot Wait (ECW) Programme, GPE Programme Development Grant (PDG) and UNESCO’s regular education programme.
  • Assist in the implementation of core interventions, including Burmese Language Training and Certification for Rohingya teacher volunteers, Teachers’ and Facilitators’ Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) and parenting education.
  • Support the finalization of programme proposal for the System Transformation Grant (STG).
  • Contribute to teacher professional development, teacher policy, skills training, and integration of ICT and AI in education.
  • Support coordination with government officials, partnerships, and stakeholders in the education sector.

Requirements

  • An advanced university degree (master’s or equivalent) in Education or Social Sciences or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible relevant work experience in technical, logistical, administrative and management support for programme implementation, preferably with UN agencies or INGOs or government agencies.
  • Good experiences in developing communication materials including social media posts.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, including good drafting skills in English and Bangla.
  • Good proficiency in Bangla typing, the use of MS Office and other tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Canva/Photoshop, Adobe, etc.).
  • Knowledge of SPSS or STATA would be an added advantage.
