About the role
- Demonstrates excellent customer service skills
- Appropriately documents all care activity performed and charges in the hospital EMR system
- Participates in hospital and departmental performance improvement activities
- Demonstrates competency in utilization and maintenance of arterial blood gas machines
- Demonstrates competency in proper set up and utilization of all mechanical ventilators
- Demonstrates competency in proper set up and utilization of the V60 NIPPV
- Demonstrates competency in proper set up and utilization of all High Flow Oxygen Therapy systems
- Demonstrates competency in the disinfection, transport and set up of all non-disposable equipment
- Adheres to the Hospitals’ Standards of Behavior
- Completes all hospital and department annual competencies
- Complies with established departmental policies, procedures and objectives
- Attends variety of meetings, conferences, seminars as required or directed
- Demonstrates use of Quality Improvement in daily operations
- Complies with all health and safety regulations and requirements
- Respects diverse views and approaches, demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients and visitors
- Maintains, regular, reliable, and predictable attendance
- Performs other similar and related duties as required or directed
Requirements
- Must be a graduate of an AMA approved school of Respiratory Care
- Licensed in the state of Massachusetts in respiratory care, license may be in full or limited capacity
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification for Healthcare Providers (BLSHP)
- Maintenance of CEU’s in accordance with the regulation of licensure in the state of Massachusetts
