About the role

  • Be involved in projects with our Project Controls Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.
  • Provide specialist input to client, project managers and project teams in developing risk plans that identify risk; assess their impact (using quantitative modelling methods); and identify mitigation measures and controls necessary to manage risk appropriately.
  • Ability to establish the Risk Management Framework and develop the strategy, the methodology and the tools to identify, assess, monitor and report project, program and strategic risks.
  • An effective risk professional’s toolset and experience of applying this to address real issues, identify solutions and help to embed them.
  • Extensive experience of quantified risk analysis, with numeracy and attention to detail.
  • A proven ability to analyze data and build models using software packages and programming languages.
  • Substantial experience of technical leadership and delivery of complex projects.
  • Prepare and manage a risk evaluation process to include risk identification, evaluation (qualification and quantification), implementation of mitigation measures.
  • Monitor and control risks with project teams and clients using Project Risk Register and ensure to measure effectiveness of risk mitigations.
  • Coordinate with project teams to continuously identify opportunities to provide efficiencies to the overall project performance: reducing project schedule, reducing project costs, improving performance, enhancing Stakeholder collaboration.
  • Develop risk contingency using Monte Carlo simulation technique on both cost and schedule to determine adequate contingency allowances.
  • Coordinates with project/program managers, project controls staff and other project team members to quantify potential cost and schedule impacts associated with risk and change.
  • Facilitate risk workshops making sure attendees are educated in their role, the process, the assessment criteria and their post workshop responsibilities.
  • Ability to deal effectively with a variety of personalities to establish and maintain effective working relationships based on diplomacy while maintaining independence and not swayed in judgment or course of actions.

Requirements

  • Degree in Mathematics, Business, Analytics, Engineering, Planning, Construction Management, or relevant field.
  • 7+ Years Relevant experience.
  • In lieu of education, 10 Years of experience in risk management; construction management; and/or project management.
  • Experience of risk management and analysis in a major project environment.
  • Expert user of Excel, @RISK (QCRA) and Primavera Risk Analysis (QSRA).
  • Have good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Can deliver written and oral reports in an objective and persuasive manner.
  • You’ll be a self-starter who can manage their own time and proactively seeks and executes activities that will add value to their function.
  • Demonstrates strong organizational, analytical, and multi-tasking skills.
