About the role
- Lead the strategic planning and execution of global supply chain activities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with strategic suppliers and negotiate contracts to optimise value.
- Collaborate cross functionally to align supply chain strategies with overall business goals.
- Manage and mentor the supply chain teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Strategic sourcing: Ability to secure the best suppliers and negotiate cost-effective contracts.
- Process improvement: Continuous optimization of the supply chain process to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Risk management: Ability to identify potential supply chain disruptions and develop contingency plans including the roll out of the Group Risk Management Project.
- Sustainability – Management of the Group sustainability project from a Supply Chain perspective.
- Cost Management Projects.
- Underpin and develop our digital procurement portal (Vendigital) ensuring site adherence
Requirements
- Degree-educated in Business, Supply Chain, Finance or related field or proven Supply Chain experience at a senior level
- Excellent communication skills to develop and maintain positive relationships both inside and outside the company.
- Adaptable and open to new ideas, with the ability to thrive in a fast-changing environment.
- Strong emotional intelligence and problem-solving skills to resolve supplier and internal issues effectively.
- Ability to lead, inspire and mentor the site Supply Chain leads.
