About the role
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing distributor/dealer customers and identify new distributor opportunities
- Build and nurture long-term partnerships with key distributor/dealer
- Support distributors/dealers with sales planning and execution, providing marketing assistance and strategic implementation
- Collaborate with distributors/dealers to ensure products are represented effectively in catalogs, flyers, websites, and digital campaigns
- Maintain accurate customer records and follow up in a timely manner
- Plan and execute travel schedules to meet with clients and prospects across North East USA
- Identify and participate in trade shows and industry events to enhance visibility and generate leads
- Submit detailed weekly expense reports
- Engage with clients using multiple communication channels, including online platforms, phone calls, and in-person meetings
Requirements
- Post-secondary education is preferred but not required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in account management or outside sales, within a distributor-focused environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and a results-driven work ethic
- Proficiency in virtual communication tools, with an emphasis on building face-to-face relationships
- Ability to adapt to diverse communication methods and environments
- Experience in the construction tools and equipment industry is an asset
