About the role
- Responsible for providing a full range of therapeutic services including assessment, treatment planning and therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position's qualification, professional practices, and ethical standards.
- Evaluate patients' speech and or swallowing through various standardized tests and clinical observations and evaluation and records findings to develop treatment programs.
- Develop a treatment plan for patients with specific goals and tasks.
- Plans and prepares written treatment program based on evaluation of patient and incorporate proper interventions that can help patients’ speech and or swallow deficits.
- Evaluates effects of treatment at various stages and adjusts treatments to achieve maximum benefit.
Requirements
- Doctoral Degree of an accredited therapy program and performed the required clinical internships satisfactorily.
- Ability to utilize therapy equipment in an outpatient rehabilitation setting to provide treatment and procedures preferred.
- Licensed by the state of South Carolina Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Examiners.
- Basic Life Support Certified - American Heart Association is required within 30 days of hire.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certified - American Heart Association Preferred
