About the role

  • Oversee day-to-day sportsbook operations, ensuring all technical, procedural, and trading activities meet regulatory and performance standards.
  • Define and execute the operational strategy aligned with company objectives and growth plans.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Product, Compliance, Risk, Trading, and Customer Experience) to enhance operational efficiency and customer outcomes.
  • Lead the continuous improvement of systems, workflows, and data-driven decision-making processes.
  • Manage and mentor Team Leads and Associates, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Identify training needs and create development programs to enhance technical and leadership capabilities within the operations teams.
  • Establish clear KPIs and performance metrics across sportsbook operations teams.
  • Regularly review performance reports, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to optimize operations.
  • Oversee the management of major incidents and operational escalations, ensuring timely, effective resolution and communication with senior leadership.
  • Champion data accuracy and operational integrity, minimizing exposure to operational or regulatory risk.
  • Identify, propose, and implement process automation and technological enhancements to streamline sportsbook operations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in sportsbook operations, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
  • Strong understanding of sportsbook systems, trading operations, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven experience leading multi-tier teams and implementing operational strategies.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and drive alignment between business and operational goals.
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and customer experience.
