About the role
- Provides service to internal and external customers via written and verbal communication on policy coverage risk and/or structure approvals or denials that meet client and company standards.
- Reviews P&C applications for insurance coverage, property inspections, and other information to determine if application is acceptable for the available client program(s).
- Evaluates and determines policy cancellation or reinstatement, modification of coverage form or limit within client and company guidelines.
- Evaluates the risk of a risk against the class of business under review.
- Evaluates the loss potential due to catastrophe, severity, and/or frequency.
- Processes transactions and adjusts records as necessary and within company policy and procedure guidelines while utilizing company resources.
- Reports on all unusual conditions affecting client satisfaction.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of Agency or underwriting experience in Personal Lines including homeowners and other lines; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred, or equivalent work experience.
