About the role
- Support patent attorneys in managing national and international patent applications
- Handle patent administration
- Electronically maintain patent files
- Perform formalities related to initial filings and foreign filings of patent applications
- Assist patent attorneys in liaising with national and international intellectual property organizations
Requirements
- Completed bachelor’s degree
- 1–3 years’ experience supporting patent filings and administration for EPO, WIPO, GPTO and international patent/IP portfolios in private law firms and/or in-house legal departments
- Qualified patent attorney assistant (Patentanwaltsfachangestellter) or comparable training
- Knowledge of the German inventor compensation procedure
- Technical affinity with the ability to actively learn and use software applications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Experience with IP management systems (preferably CPA Memotech)
- Very good command of English
- German language skills are an advantage
