About the role
- Assist/Support Engineers to ensure designs implement proper technologies while meeting manufacturing, cost, and timing goals.
- Work directly with internal teams to identify requirements, establish design expectations, and meet agreed upon design, performance, and goals for projects.
- Assist Mechanical engineers in maintaining project timelines to ensure all key deliverables are met.
- Coordinate activities to accomplish prototype and pilot production runs to mature the design of components and assemblies and meet customer needs for finished material.
- Perform risk assessment tests and use results to improve design and reduce risks before reaching manufacturing.
- Perform qualification tests & write technical reports on significant findings.
- Work with departments in obtaining samples and test data and provide with information to prepare datasheet/ customer drawing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Personal computer skills such as MICROSOFT OFFICE and relational database
- Experienced Solidworks/ Creo user preferred
- Mechanic Simulation experience a plus
- Ability to work toward defined objectives with necessary supervision
- Demonstrated understanding of new product development processes and workflow
- Good knowledge of a particular technical area within the job responsibility
