About the role
- Conceive original ideas for new products
- Responsible for product development from market definition through production and release
- Assist in the qualification of suppliers for new products
- Conduct feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs
- Direct and support detailed design, testing, prototype fabrication and manufacturing ramp
- Provide all required product documentation including Solid Model, 2D/3D production drawings, product specifications, and testing requirements
- Create and modify detailed drawings and drafting or conceptual models from layouts, rough sketches or notes
Requirements
- 3 plus years’ experience in Design & Manufacturing
- Comfortable working in cross functional teams and Global teams
- Experience determining project requirements
- Experienced skills with CAD software including SolidWorks and Windchill/PDMLink
- Assist in the creation of technical documentation, including drawings, schematics, and product specifications
- Support the product development process
- Support product validation and verification testing
- Design for Manufacturing a plus
- Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills
- Computer skills with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- US Citizen
- BS degree from ABET accredited institution or equivalent experience
- Understanding of the NPD process from design initiation to production release
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong project management and organizational skills
