About the role

  • Provide input and guidance on proposing, evaluating, and selecting appropriate design alternatives that meet requirements and align with current standards and processes
  • Participate in business requirements and design review sessions
  • Design and provide consulting and oversight for data model solutions
  • Extract, transform, and load data into SAP BW and Datasphere
  • Develop, test, and debug Datasphere data loads and reporting solutions
  • Capture and migrate transports across development and testing landscapes into production
  • Develop documentation including, but not limited to, test scripts and health checks
  • Mentor and transfer knowledge to less experienced team members
  • Assist with developing estimates and describing solutions during the proposal process
  • Perform root cause analysis as part of production support responsibilities

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience developing Business Intelligence (BI) and analytical solutions
  • 5+ years’ experience using SAP BW, Datasphere, and SAP Analysis for Office to implement complex analytical solutions that may access data from multiple sources
  • Experience creating extract/transform/load processes from data sources including SAP R/3, SAP BW, Microsoft SQL Server, and other sources
  • Experience in migration projects from an ECC/BW landscape to S/4HANA with a Datasphere/SAC landscape
  • Strong experience developing complex data models
  • Knowledge of SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP Analytics Cloud Planning is a plus but not required
  • Experience developing effective multidimensional data models
  • Experience developing front-end reports using SAP Analytics Cloud and Analysis for Office
  • Proficiency with ABAP, SQL, and/or Python to meet complex business requirements
  • Strong analytical troubleshooting skills
