About the role
- Lead a high-impact global team of approximately 15 engineers responsible for ensuring the seamless, de-risked early execution phase of critical energy projects.
- Shape the strategic direction of Project Launch processes.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging Lean methodologies.
- Responsible for technical coordination with Engineering disciplines, Project Planning, and Sourcing during the Project Launch phase.
- Accountable for the integrated engineering schedule logic for the project and cross-discipline critical path alignment.
- Manage global team and remove barriers to address complex technical problems during the project launch phase.
- Champion consensus-building and effective communication of complex information across diverse stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent knowledge and experience
- Advanced engineering experience in a relevant industry
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
- Experience with direct people leadership, managing engineering teams, ideally in a global environment
- Established project management skills
- Proven experience in talent development, coaching, and performance management
- Familiar with Lean, has led/participated in Kaizen/VSM
- Proficiency with key GE Vernova tools used across Heavy Duty New Units workstreams (e.g., GTCC, Salesforce, etc.)
- Knowledge of plant systems and equipment; knowledge of main equipment: Gas turbine, generator, steam turbine, HRSG
