About the role

  • Lead a high-impact global team of approximately 15 engineers responsible for ensuring the seamless, de-risked early execution phase of critical energy projects.
  • Shape the strategic direction of Project Launch processes.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging Lean methodologies.
  • Responsible for technical coordination with Engineering disciplines, Project Planning, and Sourcing during the Project Launch phase.
  • Accountable for the integrated engineering schedule logic for the project and cross-discipline critical path alignment.
  • Manage global team and remove barriers to address complex technical problems during the project launch phase.
  • Champion consensus-building and effective communication of complex information across diverse stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent knowledge and experience
  • Advanced engineering experience in a relevant industry
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Experience with direct people leadership, managing engineering teams, ideally in a global environment
  • Established project management skills
  • Proven experience in talent development, coaching, and performance management
  • Familiar with Lean, has led/participated in Kaizen/VSM
  • Proficiency with key GE Vernova tools used across Heavy Duty New Units workstreams (e.g., GTCC, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Knowledge of plant systems and equipment; knowledge of main equipment: Gas turbine, generator, steam turbine, HRSG
