About the role
- Design, implement, and manage enterprise infrastructure systems across on-prem, hybrid, and cloud environments (Azure, AWS).
- Serve as a subject matter expert in virtualization, storage, compute, and networking.
- Lead infrastructure modernization, automation, and optimization initiatives.
- Ensure system availability, scalability, and security compliance aligned with healthcare and HIPAA standards.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to deliver technology roadmaps and solutions.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and lead root-cause analysis efforts.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on major infrastructure projects.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure architecture, procedures, and configurations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering or systems administration.
- Strong experience in virtualization, server administration, directory services, storage, networking, disaster recovery, and complex issue troubleshooting.
- Relevant education or experience may be substituted as appropriate.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Information Technology or related discipline.
- 7+ years of progressive infrastructure engineering experience.
- Certifications: VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), ITIL Foundation Certification.
