About the role
- Provide Level 1 support for infrastructure issues across Windows Server, Linux, messaging platforms, and automation tools.
- Administer and troubleshoot Linux systems (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
- Support development and database teams with setting job schedules and monitoring resource utilization.
- Work with IT systems and support to perform maintenance tasks and troubleshoot infrastructure issues.
- Engage with leads to monitor system performance and provide reports.
- Partner with disaster recovery team to implement and maintain plans for disaster scenarios.
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in infrastructure and end-user support roles.
- Functional understanding of Linux system administration (user management, system updates, log analysis, shell scripting).
- Basic project management skills required.
- Knowledge of automated reporting tools and scripting to simplify monitoring tasks and the generation of reports.
- Quick troubleshooting and identifying performance issue root causes.
- Strong documentation and process improvement skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- High sense of urgency and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
