About the role
- Manage a multiple line switchboard including the ability to provide information clearly and accurately with good listening skills.
- Assists firefighters with the DoD / Out of State Equivalency and Refresher Retention process and applications, ProBoard or IFSAC applications upon request.
- Print and mail training academies approval letters and certificates for annual renewals.
- Accept application fees for state certification examinations through NIC.
- Other related work as assigned by Supervisor.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid and current driver’s license.
- One (1) year of clerical work experience in general secretary or clerical work.
- One (1) year of experience in handling a multi-line switchboard.
- One (1) year of experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- One (1) year of experience in customer service, filing, or equivalent.
- This position requires a security background check, including fingerprint as a condition of employment
