Data Analyst

• Supports complex strategic supply chain RFPs in contracting categories valued over $5M through in-depth analysis of proposed supplier scenarios to determine opportunities that present savings and value to the system.
• Presents analyzed savings opportunities to various audiences including Sourcing Managers, Supply Chain Executive Leadership and SSM Health physicians and clinicians participating in various solution groups.
• Supports strategic implementation of initiatives by developing compliance dashboards in Power BI to track compliance status of contractual obligations.
• Communicates results on a regular basis to solution groups.
• Develops ad-hoc Power BI dashboards to drive purchasing behavior changes with suppliers or specific products that drive unnecessary costs up.
• Utilizes procedural data (via EPIC) to determine trends in supply cost per case.
• Communicates findings to support behavioral changes that result in significant savings opportunities across the system.
• Collects and maintains a dashboard utilizing Sunshine Act Data from CMS to reveal and inform the department of complex financial relationships between suppliers and physicians.
• Optimizes internal and external data feeds and data sources by collaborating with IHT, BI&A and EPIC teams.
• Utilizing multiple data platforms (SQL server, Data Bricks, SAP, PowerBI, etc.) to extract meaningful and accurate information.
• Supports overall analyst team growth and development by sharing analytical expertise and serving as a mentor to other analysts.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
