About the role
- Manage the execution of significant complex projects involving building infrastructure such as communication towers and small commercial buildings
- Oversee the installation of complex electrical systems including power systems and sensitive communication equipment
- Understand, plan and manage processes to complete projects
- Coordinate and actively manage multiple contractors and resources to successfully complete each site
- Work directly with and manage end customers and ICP in the field to drive project delivery plans
- Ensure that ICP works in accordance with SRT systems delivery methods and provide training and support
- Maintain and manage an accurate project plan and budget
- Frequent visits to customer sites to review project status and manage activities
- Provide updates to SRT management on project status, progress, risks, and issues
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a Project Manager for similar multi-site IT systems – ideally communication-based infrastructure
- Significant and demonstrable experience and success in the management and delivery of civil engineering and construction projects
- Significant and demonstrable experience and success in the delivery of facilities installation and fit-out projects (internationally)
- Previous working experience on projects whilst being located in either the Middle East or Asia region
- An Engineering and or IT networking background and / or qualification
- Capable of understanding systems drawings down to installation design drawings (racks, servers, cameras, radar, civil work)
- Able to demonstrate the ability to diplomatically influence without authority with the ability to empathise and understand different cultures to flex approach whilst ensuring the target job is achieved
- Willingness to travel anywhere in the world for extended periods, with the role being primarily based in country with short trips back to UK during project execution
- Willingness to work on site with customers in a hands-on capacity when needed, assisting with day-to-day management and organisation of installation and troubleshooting
