Design, develop, and deploy a custom ServiceNow application to consolidate functionality from legacy systems and disparate tools.
Build and configure custom modules, tables, workflows, forms, business rules, UI components, and notifications in alignment with ServiceNow development best practices.
Create unique service portal pages and widgets to aid the business organization.
Implement system integration strategies using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, and MID Servers for both internal and external systems.
Configure and manage security models, including users, roles, groups, and access control rules (ACLs).
Support the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) —from design and development to testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Collaborate with stakeholders and business analysts to refine requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Contribute to and lead data migration planning and execution from legacy systems into ServiceNow.
Conduct unit testing, support user acceptance testing (UAT), and troubleshoot issues in development and production environments.
Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design specs, and support guides.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior developers and team members.
Work in close collaboration with cross-functional teams including solution architects, product owners, and platform administrators.
Requirements
5+ years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development
Proven experience replacing or consolidating legacy systems with ServiceNow solutions
Strong expertise in: ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, Glide API), Flow Designer, Workflow Editor, and Client/Server-side development, REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, and MID Server integrations
Deep understanding of ServiceNow architecture, platform capabilities, and limitations
Experience configuring and managing: Users, roles, groups, access control rules (ACLs), Data models, custom tables, and performance-optimized structures
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in Agile or hybrid-Agile environments
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Experience with ServiceNow Platform Analytics and UI Builder.
