About the role
- Manage and grow key customer accounts in Malaysia and the Philippines, focusing on solutions such as Retention Aids, Sizing, Microbiological Control, Contaminant Control, and Colorants.
- Achieve targeted sales and gross profit (GP) goals while identifying and developing new business opportunities.
- Lead and support a team of Service Technicians (if applicable) to ensure high-quality technical service delivery.
- Build strong customer relationships, resolve issues effectively, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform strategy and maintain competitiveness.
- Maintain accurate sales records, submit regular reports, and provide sales forecasts.
- Stay updated on industry developments and maintain strong technical knowledge relevant to the role.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in sales/account management, preferably in the Pulp & Paper or chemical industry.
- Experience managing regional accounts and cross-border business is a plus.
- Strong technical knowledge of Pulp & Paper chemical applications.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage customer relationships.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strategic thinking with a results-driven mindset.
- Ability to work independently and travel as required.
