Configure, maintain, and optimize Splunk Cloud and Splunk Enterprise infrastructure for high performance, reliability, and availability
Implement and manage complex and advanced Splunk dashboards with Splunk’s Dashboard Studio
Provide governance for security, front end design, Splunk capabilities, APIs, and user access for Splunk Cloud
Collaborate with teams to understand data sources and provide guidance on best practices for data ingestion and retention
Monitor environments to proactively identify and address performance issues and security concerns
Develop and maintain documentation related to Splunk configuration, procedures, and policies
Implement and manage security controls, access policies, and user roles within Splunk Cloud
Troubleshoot issues related to performance, data quality, data parsing, and indexing and implement solutions
Plan and execute upgrades, patches, and maintenance to keep Splunk environments current and secure
Stay informed about industry best practices and recommend and implement improvements
Requirements
7+ years IT experience
3+ years of experience in Splunk 8 or higher administering, designing dashboards, saved reports, and performance tuning
Experience implementing and managing Splunk Edge Processor solutions, utilizing SPL2 for advanced data transformation and efficient edge data processing
Deploy, configure, and manage Splunk environments in AWS, leveraging cloud best practices for scalability, security, and automation
In-depth knowledge of Splunk architecture, including data collection, search, and reporting components
Proficiency in Splunk search language (SPL)
Understanding of cloud security practices and experience implementing security controls within Splunk
Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation and customization
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Certification in Splunk (Splunk Certified Admin or Splunk Certified Architect) is a plus
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and problem-solving skills
