About the role
- Define the Vision: Own the product strategy and roadmap for "Snowflake at Scale," moving the platform toward centralized operations and global governance.
- Architect for the Future: Partner deeply with engineers and architects to rethink core architecture and data models, enabling cross-account and cross-region management capabilities.
- Drive 0-to-1 Execution: Lead the initiative in centralized management, taking concepts from ambiguous problem statements to v1 launch and eventual maturity.
- Influence Holistically: Act as a cross-functional leader. Because Manageability touches many parts of Snowflake, you will influence roadmaps across the entire company to ensure new features are "orgs-first by design."
- Data-Driven Governance: Define and track key metrics to uncover customer insights and usage patterns.
- Engage the Customer: Regularly collaborate with Platform Architects at our largest customers to validate designs and gather feedback through preview programs.
Requirements
- 10+ years of Product Management experience, with at least 5+ years building cloud infrastructure, SaaS platforms, or IaaS/PaaS solutions.
- Systems Thinking: The ability to decompose complex technical problems. You are comfortable discussing API contracts, object hierarchies, and tenancy models.
- 0-to-1 & Scale Experience: You have a track record of launching brand new product lines (v0 to v1) and maturing products to handle massive scale.
- Cross-Org Leadership: Proven ability to drive alignment across distinct cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Customer Empathy: A passion for "Ease of Use" and a desire to make the lives of IT Administrators and Platform Engineers easier.
- Modern Prototyping Skills: Comfort using modern AI and design tools to rapidly mock up wireframes, prototypes, and PRDs to visualize complex workflows.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
