About the role

  • Lead the design, integration, and delivery of Sizewell C’s operational organisational capability, meeting operational requirements for project milestones, from commissioning to commercial operation.
  • Shape how we build the people, processes, systems, governance and culture that underpin a world-class nuclear operation.
  • Act as a central point of coordination for the function, facilitating effective communication and leading on functional and business management for the team.
  • Champion knowledge sharing, set functional standards for performance improvement and continuous learning, ensuring effective implementation across the Pre-Operations programmes.
  • Work closely with programme leads and stakeholders to uphold governance standards, manage risks proactively, and maximize collaboration opportunities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in programme or project management, ideally within large-scale infrastructure, energy, or defence sectors.
  • Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Strong understanding of operational readiness and operational organisational design.
  • Comfortable working in dynamic environments with shifting priorities.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and maintain focus on strategic goals.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Experience with growing and leading cross-functional teams and managing complex schedules and dependencies.
  • Skilled at creating a collaborative environment for diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to support teams through change and maintain focus on goals.
  • Skilled in influencing and gaining buy-in for new approaches.
  • Skilled in coaching and mentoring to build capability.
  • Excellent problem-solving, presentation, and facilitation skills.
