About the role
- Facilitate all SCRUM ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the development team and stakeholders.
- Maintain and administer Jira, ensuring all boards, sprints, and issues are accurately tracked and up to date.
- Remove impediments and proactively identify process improvements to maximize team efficiency.
- Support Product Owners in managing the product backlog and ensuring clear communication of priorities.
- Track and communicate key agile metrics (velocity, burndown charts, sprint progress) to stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, transparency, and accountability within the team.
- Ensure adherence to Agile principles and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, UX designers, and business analysts, to achieve sprint goals.
Requirements
- A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Three (3) years of relevant experience as a Scrum Master supporting software development teams
- Strong understanding of Agile/SCRUM principles, practices and framework.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
- Government issued clearance with polygraph required.
