About the role
- Support the Supply Management organization through Category, Agreement, and Performance Management of our Suppliers
- Utilize skills and expertise to purchase materials, supplies, and services on favorable terms for the organization
- Responsible for qualifying suppliers, monitoring supplier quality and delivery, evaluating bids, negotiating prices and terms for purchased goods and services, tracking purchases, and maintaining a current database of supplier information
- Work on moderately complex procurements increasing in dollar value
- Manage multiple service type contracts
- Ensure supplier performance to SNC and its missions
- Support the identification and development of current and new suppliers to support Category goals
- Document acquisitions and maintain files in compliance with government regulations, company policy, and best business practices
- Track and communicate progress on RFQs and POs
- Identify risks and opportunities, and as assigned, develop risk management/mitigation plans and strategies
- Collaborate cross-functionally for strategic thinking and problem solving
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field and typically 2+ years of relevant experience
- Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
- Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
- Supply chain or logistics experience
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance may be required
- Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) compliance
- Experience working in CostPoint or other ERP systems
- Proficiency in oral and written communications
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
- Understanding of all aspects of finance and accounting related to procurement
- Complete understanding of the procurement lifecycle
- Relevant certifications (CPIM, CSSP, CPM, etc.
