About the role
- Learn and use NX 2D and 3D CAD software to document mechanical, electrical, or acoustical components, products, or systems of limited complexity
- Assist Mechanical Component Engineers in establishing catalogs of standard mechanical parts
- Coordinate documentation and assist with implementation of Engineering Change Requests
- Investigate and resolve minor production-related deviations and generate Engineering Change Orders and Special Engineering Notices
- Design components using established manufacturing processes (injection molding, die casting, sheet metal forming)
- Obtain information from broad knowledge base to complete assignments
- Validate designs through analysis and testing
Requirements
- Working on B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Experience with Mechanical CAD software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Keen willingness to learn new concepts and skills
- Self-motivated, team player, detail oriented
- Able to meet required deadlines
- Ability to work independently with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access, Word)
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; Shure will not sponsor visas
- Availability for a twelve-week summer 2026 internship
