About the role
- Conduct Safety Evaluations and Testing of Equipment in field installation settings.
- Manage, Execute, and report on projects requiring safety evaluations per national safety standard requirements.
- Conduct Field Labeling Evaluations in accordance with SGS CRS US Field Evaluation Body Program requirements.
- Deliver well-written field evaluation reports along with required documentation within defined time frames.
- Effectively communicate field evaluation report results with customers.
- Review customer responses to non-compliance letter reports, as needed.
- Review pre-evaluation documents to understand objectives of assignment prior to start of service.
Requirements
- Associates degree in Electrical/Mechanical field with minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience or; Technical degree or equivalent training and minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
- In-depth knowledge of National Electrical Code, UL and NFPA Safety Standards, SEMI S2 Safety Standards are desired along with any other related safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of European Machinery and Low Voltage Directives and supporting standards such as EN 60204 and Functional Safety Standards a plus.
- Able to travel within and outside the US up to approximately 50 to 75% of the time.
