About the role
- Perform independent analysis, design, implementation, modification and upgrade of agency applications for geographic information systems and spatial data for the agency.
- Implement, maintain, and provide technical support as the ArcGIS server administrator Assistant.
- Coordinate and develop scripting and database management with the client Database Administrator Assistant.
- Design, implement and/or modify web, mobile and client/server-based GIS applications for program areas.
- Provide technical backup to other modules as assigned.
- Adheres to Information Technology application development standards and security requirements.
- Provide appropriate administrative documentation/project communication.
- Allow flexibility to support smaller GIS projects or consultation.
- Participate in agency meetings that support understanding the scope of GIS applications within agency goals and strategies.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in geography or a related field and 3+ years of work experience in the development and maintenance of geographic information systems (GIS).
- 3+ years of experience utilizing ESRI’s ArcGIS Maps SDK.
- 3+ years of experience with scripting and development languages (Python, HTML, CSS, jQuery and Bootstrap, C#).
- 3+ years of experience with SQL Database, ArcGIS Server Administration for ArcGIS Enterprise.
- 3+ years of experience with GIS software standards and capabilities; Ability to analyze and accommodate GIS user requirements.
- Ability to develop and manage GIS projects effectively.
