About the role
- Support government client in Falls Church, VA and San Antonio, TX
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements for reporting and dashboard solutions
- Explore and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies; perform statistical analysis and data mining
- Validate data quality and accuracy to enable reliable reporting
- Prepare concise and visually appealing reports summarizing key findings and insights and present analytical findings to stakeholders
- Provide data-driven recommendations to improve business processes and performance
- Design and develop interactive dashboards using Qlik Sense or Tableau, including data models and transformations
- Develop and maintain scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) and ensure dashboards are optimized for performance and scalability
- Monitor dashboard performance, perform routine maintenance (refreshes, backups), and troubleshoot issues
- Provide user support and training, develop documentation and training materials, and respond to user inquiries
- Manage multiple documentation projects and collaborate with web/technical developers, tool owners, and subject matter experts
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 10 years of relevant experience
- Extensive experience working with MHS Healthcare and financial data sets (MHS Genesis, GFEBS, Dentrix, DMHRSi, MDR, and other relevant data sets and systems)
- Extensive knowledge of Advana and Qlik Sense or Tableau with at least 2 years of relevant dashboard development experience
- Demonstrated capability to conduct all elements of dashboard creation including data and requirements gathering, scripting, and front-end design
- Experience designing and developing interactive dashboards, creating data models and ETL scripting
- Ability to explore and analyze large datasets, perform statistical analysis and data mining, and validate data quality
- Experience preparing concise and visually appealing reports and presenting findings to stakeholders
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including MS Teams) and SharePoint
- Working knowledge of Federal and DoD regulations: Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Department of Defense FAR (DFAR), DoD Financial Management, Office of the Secretary of Defense Regulations, Defense Finance and Accounting Services Regulations and Manuals
- Basic to advanced understanding of military health resource management concepts and terminology
- Detailed understanding of MHS and programs supported by DHP appropriations
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet client-established timelines
- Strong organizational, time management, collaboration, adaptability, and interpersonal skills
