About the role
- Provide legal advice to management and project teams on all matters of construction law
- Review and draft construction contracts, contractor agreements and architect contracts with public and private clients
- Contract management, including monitoring and risk assessment of ongoing contracts
- Support during procurement procedures, tenders and contract negotiations
- Advise on change order management and participate in the preparation and defense of additional claims
- Contribute to the design of internal processes and policies to ensure legally compliant project execution
- Monitor legal developments and derive appropriate measures for the company
- Coordinate with other legal areas and handle compliance matters
- Conduct internal training for technical and project staff on relevant legal topics
- Represent the company in disputes, court and arbitration proceedings
- Cooperate with external law firms, experts and authorities
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer (m/f/d) with the German Second State Examination (Zweites Staatsexamen)
- Minimum 5 years’ professional experience with a focus on private and public construction law, architects’ law and infrastructure projects
- Specialist knowledge of VOB/B and HOAI
- Strong communication skills, analytical thinking and a solution-oriented working style
- Reliability, team spirit and commercial/entrepreneurial understanding
