About the role
- Provide legal advice to management and project teams on all construction law matters
- Review and draft construction contracts, works contracts and architect contracts with public and private clients
- Contract management, including monitoring and risk assessment of ongoing contracts
- Support in procurement procedures, tendering and contract negotiations
- Advise on claims/change order management and participate in the preparation and defense of claims
- Contribute to the design of internal processes and policies to ensure legally secure project execution
- Monitor legal developments and derive appropriate measures for the company
- Coordinate with other legal areas and handle compliance-related topics
- Conduct internal training for specialist and project staff on relevant legal topics
- Represent the company in disputes, court proceedings and arbitration
- Cooperate with external law firms, experts and authorities
Requirements
- Fully qualified lawyer (m/f/d) with a completed Second State Law Examination
- Minimum of 5 years' professional experience with a focus on private and public construction law, architects' law and infrastructure projects
- Expert knowledge of VOB/B and HOAI
- Strong communication skills, analytical thinking and a solution-oriented working style
- Reliability, team orientation and commercial/business understanding
