About the role

  • Provide legal advice to executive management and project leadership on all construction law matters
  • Review and draft construction contracts, works contracts and architect agreements with public and private clients
  • Contract management, including monitoring and risk assessment of ongoing contracts
  • Support in procurement procedures, tenders and contract negotiations
  • Advise on change order/claims management and participate in the preparation and defense of claims for additional compensation
  • Contribute to the design of internal processes and policies to ensure legally secure project execution
  • Monitor legal developments and derive appropriate measures for the company
  • Coordinate with other legal areas and compliance topics
  • Conduct internal training for professional and project staff on relevant legal topics
  • Represent the company in disputes, court and arbitration proceedings
  • Cooperate with external law firms, expert witnesses and authorities

Requirements

  • Fully qualified lawyer (m/f/d) with completion of the Second State Examination (fully admitted to practice)
  • Professional experience (min. 5 years) with a focus on private and public construction law, architects' law and infrastructure projects
  • Specialist knowledge of VOB/B and HOAI
  • Strong communication skills, analytical thinking and a solution-oriented work style
  • Reliability, team spirit and commercial awareness
