About the role

  • Collaborate with Test Development and R&D Operations teams to design, qualify, and implement test applications and tools (hardware/software) for design validation and process control.
  • Partner with Design and R&D teams to conduct magnetic recording experiments, analyze performance and reliability data, and present findings to the Recording Head Development team.
  • Develop innovative engineering solutions for R&D operations using industry-standard techniques and methodologies.
  • Apply independent judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to achieve desired outcomes.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Experience with programming languages, automated data acquisition/processing/visualization, and large-scale data analysis.
  • Familiarity with electronic test equipment (e.g., electrical circuits, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers), as well as characterization methodologies such as Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), or similar techniques — preferred.
  • Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
